Bridges
The influence that The Brave has had on my life has been nothing short of transformative, creating a profound impact not only on me but also on my family. In a time marked by uncertainty and difficulty, joining The Brave family emerged as one of the most significant and beneficial decisions I could have made. Throughout this journey, I was fortunate to have Mr. Jenkins by my side, whose unwavering support and guidance provided me with much-needed reassurance. He consistently emphasized that the challenges I faced did not define my identity; instead, they were merely minor setbacks along my journey. As I reflect on this experience, I feel an immense sense of gratitude and privilege to be part of The Brave family, which has played a crucial role in fostering my personal growth and contributing positively to my new beginning.

I went to prison in 2016, not knowing if I would ever see my family again because I faced the death penalty. By the grace of God, I was released five years later and returned to my hometown, Chattanooga, Tennessee. I was nervous about coming back to society and unsure of what to expect. However, I trusted God to provide me with the people and resources I needed to make it through. I have known Mr. Joe Jenkins for over 30 years from our neighborhood. I often tell people that if my father could have chosen a son, it would have been Joe; he has become like a brother to me. Joe is not just someone I know; he is family.
